Grace Is Growing!
The staff and leadership at Grace are excited to announce that we will be adding a second service to our Sunday morning worship schedule, starting on Sunday, September 9. The schedule will include Holy Communion at 8:15 am, interim fellowship time and Sunday school classes at 9:30 am, and Holy Communion at 10:45 am.
As part of this expansion of our ministry, a new team is making plans for the time in between worship services. The goal is to make this middle hour so valuable that the entire congregation will want to participate, with early-service worshipers staying after service and late-service worshipers coming early to mingle together. In addition to both fellowship time and Sunday school classes for all ages, the team is planning occasional special events to enhance the congregation's sense of unity and help us grow as a community of faith.
To accomplish this goal, we need your help! What would you call an hour so wonderful, so compelling, so important to the life of the community, that you won't want to miss it?
Help the team come up with a name that lets people know this hour is for them and for us all. Watch for a submission form in the weekly Grace Notes over the next two weeks, and when you think of the perfect name, write it on the form, tear it off, and drop it in the offering plate.
Suggestions must be submitted by Sunday, August 19, to allow a vote by Sunday, September 2. The person who submits the winning name will receive a $50.00 gift certificate to their favorite restaurant, so be sure to get your idea in!
